Púls Media ehf. places great importance on ensuring the security of users and their personal information.
Data Processing
Puls is the data controller as defined in Act No. 90/2018 on personal data protection and the processing of personal data, and the European Union regulation GDPR. All processing of personal data is fair and transparent. Puls Media ehf. guarantees that it will not use user information irresponsibly, unsafely, or illegally.
The user can contact Púls at any time to:
Request access to the information that Púls has about the user
Correct information that Púls has about the user
Delete information that Púls has about the user
Or exercise any other rights provided for in applicable data protection laws.
When users are logged into the web interface of Púls Media ehf., the software may collect technical information about their usage, such as browser type, IP address, etc. This information is used solely to enhance the user experience of Púls, for example by improving the design of the interface or informing users of potential technical issues.
Non-Personal Information
Púls Media ehf. reserves the right to generate non-personal statistical summaries and other derived information that are undoubtedly non-personal and to use them in the company's operations, for example in the marketing materials of Púls Media.
Accounting Records
Accounting records are stored in accordance with laws and regulations regarding bookkeeping and its retention. After that time has passed, the data will be deleted, but information on payment statements will not be deleted. The auditor of Púls Media ehf. is Enor.

Response plan: If a breach happens, Púls employees will investigate the scale of it, notify the affected users and officially notify The Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
3rd party assessments: We evaluate the credibility of 3rd party service providers that process data from us to make sure they adhere to similar data protections.
Other General
Púls follows Icelandic laws on the processing of personal information and takes utmost care in their handling. When a user purchases advertising placements through the Púls Ad Market, information about the user and the company is shared with the relevant advertising medium. The information is not used for any other purpose.
All use of Púls is at the user's own risk. If a dispute or damage occurs due to the use of Púls, it is completely irrelevant and without responsibility for the owners of Púls Media ehf. The user cannot claim any damages or refunds from Púls due to the use of the system.
This privacy policy is governed by Icelandic law. Any disputes arising in connection with this privacy policy must be resolved before the District Court of Reykjavik if they cannot be resolved otherwise.
