Karl has a BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Reykjavik, a BA degree in Graphic Design from the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and a BA degree in Electronic Music from The Royal Conservatoire of the Hague in the Netherlands. He has extensive experience in the financial sector, as well as releasing music and computer games for mobile devices.

Prior to that, Karl worked as a programmer at Arion Bank from 2016, as well as independently working on various design and software projects.
